Living Album/Web Lite will run on any color Macintosh¿ computers with system software 7.0, or later, and a minimum of 8 MB of RAM. (12 MB or more recommened. If you use a Power Macintosh with system 7.5 and 8MB of RAM, please turn on virtual memory to increase the system memory to 12 MB or more.) Living Album/Web Lite is accelerated for Power Macintosh.
Order the Full Version Living Album/Web CD
The Living Album/Web Lite program is essentially identical to the full-version Living Album/Web program, except that the Lite version only allows you to import up to 6 photos/movies per album page. It exports up to 6 photos to a web page. However, you still get full Living Album viewing capabilities. You can add up to 1,000 pages to an album, display full-screen photo and video, run multimedia slide shows, and create as many albums as your hard disk has space for them. Quick Start
There are a few tips you need to keep in mind before you get started. The red frame around the thumbnail picture in the album is used to highlight the currently selected photo. The gold frame is displayed when the selected photo is marked. To view a photo, you simply click on the thumbnail representation of the photo. Please remember you can skip the audio/ video clip being played in a slide show by clicking the mouse button, and STOP the slide show at any time by holding down the Command () key (and clicking the mouse button if sound or video is being played). If you need help at any time, simply move the cursor around to read the on-screen help message on the album screen or select Help from the File menu to use the on-line help. You can click on the Print button in the Help window to print out a copy of the User's Guide. About Photo Quality
Though each photo in Living Album is digitized with 16.7 million (24-bit) colors, your computer may only be configured or only able to display 256 (8-bit) colors. To get a photo-realistic view of the digitized photos, you may need to reconfigure (using the Monitors control panel) or upgrade your computer to display more than 256 colors.
Important Notes
1. It is recommended that you RESTART your Macintosh with the Shift key pressed to disable all system extensions before installing Living Album/Web Lite. For best audio/video playback, turn off virtual memory (and RAM Doubler, if installed).
2. To install Living Album/Web Lite, double click the installer icon and follow the instructions given by the Installer.
3. Most of the error messages in Living Album/Web Lite are memory related, and you are likely to see these messages if you frequently import and display large photo and movie files. However, if you have more than 8 MB of RAM installed in your system and allocate 5 MB or more to Living Album, you are less likely to see any "out of memory" error messages.
4. If you encounter any problems while using Living Album/Web Lite, see if you can find solutions from the Troubleshooting and Useful Tips section of the User's Guide, or from on-line help before calling for technical support.
5. Always keep BACKUP copies of your Living Album files.
